Private Event Hire Frequently Asked Questions

We know it looks like a lot to read, but this is your special day and we want to ensure that everything goes to plan. Please take 5 minutes to read the information below. When confirming your booking, we will ask you to confirm that you have read our FAQ.


How much space do you need to set up?

The van is approximately 2.75m wide and 6m long, so we need a flat space with good vehicular access, that is at least 2m longer and wider than this size. The van is also 3.5m tall, so the access to the site needs to take this into account. Please be aware that we won't risk damaging our vehicle to gain access to your event. Therefore you must ensure there is adequate access for the dimensions given above.

It is your responsibility to ensure that we can access your venue. We won't risk damage to our vehicle gaining entry through narrow access areas. Please check the area you want us to serve from, as if we arrive on site and cannot safely set up to serve, we are unable to refund your fee.


Can you serve pizzas to everyone at once?

We are fast when making our fresh Pizzas, but we can't serve everyone at once. It is best to arrange a staggered service. We strongly advise letting your guests know that each individual pizza is made to order, as knowing what to expect always makes service run more smoothly. As a guide, our Wood Fired Oven reaches temperatures of up to 500 degrees, which cooks a pizza in around 2 - 3 minutes. We can fit up to 8 pizzas in the oven at a time


Do you provide tables for our side salad dishes?

We don't offer this service, but we can provide you with basic, white table coverings as long as you give us the sizes of your tables well in advance.


Do you provide cutlery, plates & napkins?

We provide plain plastic cutlery, high quality paper plates & plain napkins if you book one of our self serve, side salad options. If you would like something more elaborate, we are happy to discuss your colour choices and theme your plates & napkins accordingly. Please note that this will incur additional costs.


How do you serve your side salad options?

These are self serve. Your side salad choices are presented in high quality disposable dishes, which will be left with you when we leave. We will ask you to sign a leftover food waiver and release form, which means you are then responsible for the hygiene safety of the food when we have gone.


How do you serve your pizzas?

Your pizza is freshly made to order and served in one of our signature brown boxes. The box is made from recycled materials and is 100% biodegradable.


Can you serve pizza by the slice?

Not at the present time, but this is something we are looking to do in the future.


Can you provide Vegetarian/Vegan options?

Yes. Our homemade dough and pizza sauces are Vegan and as long as we are given notice of at least 2 weeks prior to the event, we can provide a very nice vegan cheese.


Can you provide gluten free pizzas?

As much as we would love to, no. Flour gets everywhere in our mobile kitchen and therefore we can't avoid cross contamination.


Can we make a pizza in your oven?

Sorry no. Health and Safety dictates so much for us and we are not allowed to let the public near the wood fired oven.


Do you take the used pizza boxes away with you?

For hygiene reasons and because of limited space in our vehicle, we cannot take away used pizza boxes.


Do you provide alcohol?

Sorry no. We do not have a licence to sell alcohol.


Do you provide soft drinks?

We can provide a limited amount of soft drinks, but this would incur additional cost.


What if something goes wrong?

Talk to us. We are all human and hopefully no problem is insurmountable. We will do all we can to accommodate your requirements.


Do we get our deposit back if we cancel?

We're really sorry, but no. Yours will be the only event we take for the date you have booked. This means that all other booking requests will have been declined and - due to most weddings and parties being booked long before the actual date - we would have little opportunity to secure another booking. Your deposit partially covers our costs should you have to cancel for any reason. All deposits are non refundable. This is non negotiable.


Although we will make our best efforts to reach your venue, if we are unable to due to circumstances beyond our control such as; poor weather, flooding, road blockages etc. then we are unable to refund your fee. We can serve at alternate address of your choice if it is safe to do so.
